The current RBS 556 MG suppressor is based upon these requirements yet offers expanded muzzle attachment options and has been optimized for dismounted, light and fast infantry use, and offers a substantial reduction in back pressure and combustion gases with minimal increase in cyclic rate leading to extended parts life, and improved shooter health and function.
Details
The B&T Machine Gun suppressor was originally developed by B&T at the request of the OEM producer of the MINIMI. The MINIMI is a special case as the product is produced in both Belgium and the United States. The guns are virtually identical but with some major differences that will affect the use of the suppressor, most notably the flash hider.
